Kurt Chill (1 May 1895 – 5 July 1976) was a highly decorated Generalleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded the LV. Armeekorps. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Kurt Chill was captured by Soviet forces in May 1945, but escaped and was later in the custody of the United Kingdom.
